Crypto card API · REST · USDT on TRON

The crypto card API that issues a Visa card in one call.

A crypto card API is a programming interface that lets your own app create, fund and manage debit cards paid for with crypto. Cryptoinfra's card API issues a virtual Visa card for any of your users, loads it from their USDT balance, delivers the 3-D Secure code to your app and reports every event with a signed webhook, all under your brand.

  • One REST call to issue a funded virtual Visa card.
  • White label: your users see your name, never a partner's.
  • Free sandbox with test money, no setup fee, no monthly fee.

What the API does

Every step of a card program, as an endpoint.

You call the API from your own backend. Your users never leave your app.

Issue a card

One POST creates a virtual Visa card for a verified user and loads its opening balance from their USDT. The card number, expiry and security code are revealed to the cardholder inside your app.

Load it from USDT

A load moves USDT from the user's balance onto the card. Every fee is quoted before the call so your app can show it to the user first.

3-D Secure in your app

When a shop asks for a one-time code, the API delivers it to your server as a webhook, so your user confirms the payment inside your brand.

Signed webhooks

Issued, loaded, declined, closed: each card event reaches your endpoint signed with HMAC-SHA256 and is retried until you acknowledge it.

Apple Pay and Google Pay

Cards issued through the API can be added to Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay, and spend online or in store wherever Visa is accepted.

Close and refund

A close call returns the remaining balance to the user's USDT, with the exact refund quoted before they confirm.

Integration

From API key to first card in four calls.

The same calls work against the free sandbox first. Switch the key and the same code runs live.

1. Create the user

Each of your users gets a permanent USDT address on TRON. Deposits to it are credited to their balance on their own.

2. Verify identity

Cardholders pass a quick identity check once. The API tells you the status, and your app shows the result under your brand.

3. Issue the card

POST the user, the card product and the opening balance. The response carries the card and a reveal link for the cardholder.

4. Listen for webhooks

Loads, declines, 3-D Secure codes and closes arrive as signed events. Acknowledge them and update your own UI.

curl -sX POST https://api.cryptoinfra.build/v1/cards \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $CRYPTOINFRA_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"external_user_id":"10482","card_nature":"VIRTUAL",
       "opening_balance":"50","idempotency_key":"card-10482-1"}'

The full request and response, every webhook event and the sandbox walkthrough are in the card API guide and the reference.

Choosing a provider

What to look for in a crypto card API.

The questions that separate a card API you can build a business on from one that becomes a support problem. Cryptoinfra answers each of them.

Must have

Ask every provider this

  • Is it truly white label? Partner and issuer names must never reach your users, in the app, the API or the webhooks.
  • Is every fee quoted before the call? Issue, load and close fees should be readable from a public price sheet, so your UI can show them first.
  • Where does the 3-D Secure code go? To your app, not to a partner's SMS, or your users leave your brand at checkout.
  • Are writes idempotent? A retried issue or load must never create or charge twice.
  • Is there a sandbox with the same API? You should test the whole flow with test money before a real card exists.
  • Can you earn on it? Look for a share of the platform fee plus room for your own fee, not only a cost line.
Warning signs

Walk away when you see

  • A setup fee, a monthly minimum or a volume commitment before you have a single cardholder
  • Prices only available "on request", or fees that appear after the load
  • Webhooks without signatures or retries, so a missed event means a wrong balance
  • Documentation you cannot read before signing, or no machine-readable spec
  • A partner's name on the card, the statement or the confirmation screen

Our docs are public, the whole reference is one text file, and there is an MCP server so an AI coding tool can read the card API itself. Read our longer buyer's guide to crypto card APIs.

Questions

Crypto card API, answered.

What is a crypto card API?

A crypto card API is a set of HTTP endpoints that lets a business issue and manage debit cards that are funded with cryptocurrency instead of a bank balance. With Cryptoinfra, your backend calls the API to create a virtual Visa card for a user, load it from the user's USDT, receive 3-D Secure codes and events by webhook, and close the card. Your users only ever see your app and your brand.

How do I issue a crypto card through the API?

Create the user, let them pass the identity check, then send one POST to the cards endpoint with the user, the card product and the opening balance. The response returns the card and a link where the cardholder reveals the number, expiry and security code. The same call works in the free sandbox with test money.

Which crypto can fund the card?

Cards are loaded from the user's USDT balance on the TRON network (TRC20). Users can receive USDT, USDC and TRX to their permanent address; USDT is what loads the card.

Is the card API white label?

Yes. The card, the API responses and the webhooks carry no partner, issuer or processor name. Your users see your brand in your app, and the 3-D Secure code is delivered to your app rather than to a third party.

What does the crypto card API cost?

There is no setup fee, no monthly fee and no minimum volume. You pay a per-card issue fee, a percentage on each load and a fee when a card is closed, all published on our live price sheet. You also receive a share of our fees on every card your users issue, load or close, and you can add your own fee on top.

Do the cards work with Apple Pay and Google Pay?

Yes. Virtual Visa cards issued through the API can be added to Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay and used online or in store wherever Visa is accepted.

Is there a sandbox for the card API?

Yes. Every account gets a free sandbox with test money. The endpoints, webhooks and responses are the same as production, so the code you test is the code you ship.

What makes Cryptoinfra a good crypto card API provider?

One REST API covers the whole program: a permanent USDT address per user, card issuing, loads, 3-D Secure delivery, signed webhooks and closes. It is white label end to end, every fee is on a public sheet before you call, writes are idempotent, the sandbox mirrors production, and you earn a share of the platform fee from the first card.
